Moorland Waldorf offers a uniquely different education
A unique environment
Our school is located in a beautiful corner of the North Yorkshire Moors. We are able to use this wonderful natural environment to the full in our teaching; it provides a calm and nurturing space for our pupils to learn and play. Our children spend a lot of time outdoors, the natural world enhances and becomes part of our main curriculum.
A clear ethos with the time and the freedom to learn
Moorland Waldorf values childhood as a time of freedom, curiosity and discovery. We offer a broad child-centred education, working with the child’s individual abilities and strengths to bring out the best in all our pupils
We nurture imagination, a sense of wonder, creativity and a passion for the natural world
We promote academic excellence, independent thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.
And just as we foster the development of our pupils through care and respect, so we strive to develop tolerance, kindness and empathy in our pupils.
A strong sense of community
A community in which children benefit from teachers, staff and parents working together towards common educational goals.
